Conditions Of Ticket Sale and Entry to the Event
The following rules will be sent out with every ticket bought in advance and given to everybody who purchases a ticket on the gate.
The following purchase policies are designed to ensure your understanding of the purchase process on gvpg.org.
This Purchase Policy incorporates our Terms of Use by this reference.
This purchase policy is mostly generic and is provided to make clear, to both the purchaser and Global Village Peace Gathering ("GVPG"), the responsibilities and contract entered into when purchasing a ticket. It includes elements which cover possible, but unlikely, outcomes of ticket purchase (like event cancellation) and are included so that it is clear where all parties stand in such instances. Our Purchase Policy reflects those of larger events in the UK and we are sure, in the event of any confusion or mistakes, that we will do our best to find an amicable resolution.
In the unlikely event that the Global Village Peace Gathering 2007 is cancelled, GVPG will offer a partial refund of the ticket price but regrets it will not be able to refund either the booking fee or postage costs and must retain a 10% charge to refund tickets in the event of cancellation. Under no circumstances can the booking fee or postage costs be refunded. When purchasing tickets you are agreeing to this stipulation.
Should any aspect of the Global Village Peace Gathering 2007 ticket purchase terms and conditions be confusing or unclear, contact us at tickets@gvpg.org for advice and help.
Global Village Peace Gathering sells tickets through PayPal. Global Village Peace Gathering cannot accept any form of liability for errors made by PayPal when paying for the tickets. PayPal will process your payment and GVPG will dispatch your tickets to the address you supply during purchase. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
This ticket remains the property of GVPG and is a personal revocable license which may be withdrawn and admission refused at any time. The purchaser represents and warrants that the ticket is purchased for personal use only, and that it is not purchased as part of any form of business or commercial activity (save as expressly authorised by GVPG), and in particular, that the ticket may not be resold or offered for resale by anyone whether at a premium or otherwise and may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests and sweepstakes) or for any other trade purposes.
Resale or attempted resale at a price higher other than that printed herein is
grounds for seizure or cancellation without refund or other compensation. GVPG
may enforce these terms in accordance with the provisions of the Contracts
(Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 (the Act). Except as provided above, this
agreement does not create any right enforceable by any person who is not a
party to it under the Act, but does not affect any right or remedy that a third
party has which exists or is available apart from that Act.
It is your responsibility to check your tickets; mistakes cannot always be rectified.
It is your responsibility to ascertain whether the event has been cancelled and the
date and time of any rearranged event. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled, we
will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of the cancellation. We
do not guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation before
the date of the event.
Ticket price includes camping and a full program of entertainment as advertised
on the Global Village Peace Gathering 2007 web site. Full program details are to
be announced in 2007 and are subject to change at any time without further notice.
It does not include food, drink, merchandise or access to any other service not
provided as part of the main Global Village Peace Gathering 2007 programme.
Tickets bought in error or deemed unusable if the purchaser cannot attend will be subject to a 10% refund charge if you wish to return them. This 10% covers our labour costs to process your refund and is not a method of extracting additional funds for ticket purchases that are not redeemed for entry to the event. In some cases, the refund charge can be reduced but only after each individual refund case has been reviewed by GVPG, and/or our allocated ticket agents.
Any tickets that are returned for a refund or reported as lost are black-listed and will not be valid at the entrance to the Gathering.
In the unlikely event that the Global Village Peace Gathering 2007 is cancelled, GVPG will offer a partial refund of the ticket price but regrets it will not be able to refund either the booking fee or postage costs and must retain a 10% charge to refund tickets in the event of cancellation.
This ticket is issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of the venue and Global Village Peace Gathering.
Breach of any of these Rules and Regulations or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall entitle the management of the event to eject you from the venue.
The venue reserves the right to refuse admission should patrons breach any Rules and Regulations of the venue. The venue may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
GVPG will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen.
If you do lose your tickets or they are stolen, you must tell us as soon as possible so that we can black-list and nullify the tickets and re-issue you with new ones. Failing to do so may result in refused entry to the event.
Tickets are sold subject to the Global Village Peace Gathering's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
The unauthorized use of recording equipment is prohibited (except for one's own personal use). Tapes or films may be destroyed if it is ascertained that footage is being taken for professional or profit-making services or for public distribution. Laser pens, dogs (except guide dogs) are prohibited and patron's own alcoholic drink is subject to scrutiny on entrance to the Gathering. GVPG accept no responsibility for any personal property.
Pass-outs or re-admissions will be permitted only if patrons abide by the readmission system that will be in place.
Ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience and participants of the event and these films and recordings may appear publicly and be distributed and published within the public domain. This includes all forms of broadcast media including radio, television, film, DVD, CD, internet broadcast and any other such media.
Tickets are restricted to a maximum of six tickets (standard or concessionary price) per person for any one event (in this instance, Global Village Peace Gathering 2007). We reserve the right to cancel tickets without prior notice purchased in excess of this number.
We will need to contact you by landline telephone if any order or combination of orders exceeds this limit.
GVPG shall not have any further liability beyond the face value of the ticket purchased plus the relevant per ticket booking fee.
All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law.
